In the early days of reform and opening up, Li Xiaojun (played by Liming) bid farewell to his girlfriend Xiaoting (played by Christine Yang) and came to Hong Kong from Tianjin (Wuxi in the Mandarin version) to make a living in Hong Kong. He hopes to make a lot of money one day and bring Xiaoting to marry her in a glamorous manner. I didn't expect that life would be much harder than imagined.
